History behind the initiative of Spice Jet

This Indian airline has started its operation in 2006 with the name of Royal airlines. After the completion of first 99 days from the date of inception, Spice Jet started to serve air tickets to all domestic destinations only at 99 rupees. From that initiative, the company has become one of the popular no frill airlines in India.

Now the airline operates 270 aircrafts on regular basis which continuously fly to 34 domestic and 7 international destinations. Because of the no frill system, the costs for foods and beverages are excluded from the ticket fare.

Apart from this, the uniqueness of Spice jet airlines lies on the operation of single class airplanes, which also helps them in saving the cost of maintenance of various classes. Thus they are serving world class facilities to passengers within affordable cost.
